What to do if it happens?

If you have been attacked, or if danger is lurking, call the police immediately on 110 and ask passers by or in the next bar for help.

If you have been subjected to physical violence, call the emergency services or a doctor immediately and tell them you have been physically attacked.

Look to friends for help and support! Call someone you can trust, a friend or a member of your family, even if it’s late.

Don’t wash or shower before seeing a doctor in order to preserve evidence and traces. It may be sensible to take photographs of your injuries.

Inform the police if the perpetrator was in your home.

Police can only launch criminal proceedings against the perpetrator if you have reported the incident to them. It is up to you to decide if you want to do this or not. You can talk to MANEO about any questions or doubts you may have.

How to protect yourself?

Make your boundaries clear and  trust your instincts. Self-assured behaviour can protect you from advances and attacks in many cases.
