They premiered on the Jubilee gala for MANEOs 20th birthday in TIPI am Kanzleramt. With their safety instructions they give useful tips to avoid and deal with dangerous situations and they promote vigilance. The action is part of the MANEO violence prevention campaign and is designed to help both berlins citizens and visitors to safely enjoy the night
With a lot of work and love to detail the costumes were hand made in the weeks leading up to the gala. As well in the tailoring as in the writing of the sketch and the rehearsals, the MANEO employees enjoyed the professional help and support from people involved in the FriedrichstadtPalast and the ‘Deutsche Film und Fernseakademie Berlin (dffb).
As the MANEO project Manager explans: “The night stewardesses do not only want to explain but they also want to appeal on the moral courage of witnesses to help in emergencies”. Chief stewardess Bärbel von der Panke adds: “Berlin is a tolerant open city – and we take part in this”
